Appreciating Grace | Ephesians 1:1-14

Sermon Outline

Growing in Your Appreciation of Grace:

The sicker you become of sin, the more you will appreciate grace.

The more you learn of creation and providence, the more you will appreciate grace.

The more you thank God for His blessings, the more you will appreciate grace.

The more you reflect on God's redemptive plan, the more you will appreciate grace.

Measuring Your Appreciation of Grace:

The more obedient you will be.

The more you will extend grace to others.

The smaller will be your pride.

The greater will be your thankfulness.

Cutting a Covenant: God's Solemn Commitment to His Word of Promise | Genesis 15

Sermon Outline

Assurance of Offspring, and Abram’s Faith

Assurance of the Land, and Abram’s Obedience

Assurance of the LORD’s Faithfulness to His Promise

How are you righteous before God? Only by true faith in Jesus Christ: that is, although my conscience accuses me that I have grievously sinned against all the commandments of God, and have never kept any of them, and am still prone always to all evil; yet God, without any merit of mine, of mere grace, grants and imputes to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness and holiness of Christ, as if I had never committed nor had any sins, and had myself accomplished all the obedience which Christ has fulfilled for me; if only I accept such benefit with a believing heart.
